	Available at native plant nurseries in northeast Florida.
Description:
	Wildflower 2-4 feet tall with scalloped, oval leaves 2-4 inches long on slender stalks. Numerous large, purple flower heads in clusters.
Height:
	Typically 2-4 feet in height.
Growth Rate:
Range:
	Very rare in Alachua County, central Florida Panhandle, Alabama, and western Georgia.
Habitats:
	Moist woods and pinelands
Soils:
	Wet to moist, seasonally inundated sandy soils, without humus.
Nutritional Requirements:
	Low; it grows in nutrient poor soils.
Salt Water Tolerance:
	Low; does not tolerate flooding by salt or brackish water.
Salt Wind Tolerance:
	Low; salt wind may burn the leaves.
Drought Tolerance:
	Low; requires moist to wet soils and is intolerant of long periods of drought.
Light Requirements:
	Full sun to light shade.
Flower Color:
	Pale purple

	Showy clusters.
