Description:
	Grass-like deciduous perennial to 3 feet tall. Star shaped pale blue or whiteish flowers. Foliage turns golden in the fall.

	Dry, well-drained sandy soils, without humus.
Nutritional Requirements:
	Low; it grows in nutrient poor soils.

	Low; does not tolerate flooding by salt or brackish water.
Salt Wind Tolerance:
	Low; salt wind may burn the leaves.
Drought Tolerance:
	High; does not require any supplemental water once established.
Light Requirements:
	Full sun to light shade.

	Pale blue or white

	Showy.
Flowering Season:
	April-November.
Fruit:
	Thin seed pods
