Florida Keys History and Distribution:
First observed in the lower sandy Keys in 1904 (Reimus & Robertson, 1997). Reported in 1913
by John Kunkel Small for hammocks and sand dunes from the upper Keys to the lower Keys. We consider this native and extant throughout the Florida Keys.
