As co-chair of the Miami-Dade County Native Plant Workshop, responsible for instruction on plant identification. Public speaker at Broward County, Miami-Dade County, and Palm Beach County chapters of the Florida Native Plant Society and other organizations.

  • Extensive knowledge on plant identification in South and Central Florida, collection, identification, and processing of herbarium specimens, over 1700 plant specimens (including grasses and sedges) collected since 1997
  • Extensive knowledge of the status, occurrences, habitat requirements, and history of rare and endangered plant species of south Florida
  • Use of databases to manage floristic data, rare plant monitoring data, and exotic plant control data
