| Join the Friends of IRC! The Institute for Regional Conservation (IRC) is dedicated to preventing regional extinctions of rare plants, animals and ecosystems and to improving conservation and restoration on a regional basis. Central to this work is the belief that people can work with nature to restore ecosystems and a healthy sense of place. Our Friends of IRC (FOIRC) membership group was founded in 2004 to foster a community devoted to restoring the link between people and nature. Becoming a FOIRC member aligns you with South Florida’s environmentally concerned citizens and gives you an opportunity to make a difference! Additional benefits include receipt of our quarterly newsletter, monthly event emails, discounts on hard-to-find native plants from our nursery and invitations to a variety of activities. IRC runs entirely on program grants and contracts. Your donations allow us to pursue conservation goals that, while equally important, might not get funded by traditional sources. All donations to IRC above the basic membership cost are tax-deductible. We thank you for your support!
